Cheryl Howeld.
Her artistic training began at Hornsey College of Art (London) in the early sixties. Further years of independent study followed with a group of painters exploring the philosophical concepts behind painting. After some years of exhibiting work in other London galleries, she opened the Churzee Gallery in 1988. It exhibited works by members of all the major art societies as well as her own paintings.
From 1992 -1996 , she spent two months each year in Moscow, painting and exchanging ideas with a group of Russian contemporary painters. In 2006 she closed the Churzee Gallery and now works from her own studio in West Sussex. Her work is in many private collections in England and abroad, notably America and Australia.
